The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) is being sued for religious discrimination. And for good reason. The government watchdog agency was created in 1998 to officially promote and protect religious freedom abroad, but it actually suppresses religious freedom, rather than supporting it. It should be shut down.

Pakistan's Foresaken Daughters
Two teenage girls have exposed hypocrisy embedded in Pakistan’s societal and religious framework. In September, 14-year-old Rimsha Masih tore apart the sense of equal rights for non-Muslims when an Islamabad court released her on bail in a blasphemy case while implicating the prayer leader for tampering with evidence by adding to it burnt or torn pages of the Islam’s holy book, the Quran. When it came down to the cleric, noisy protests were simply muted.

The suicide protests
The wave of global protests about the anti-Islam trailer ‘The Innocence of Muslims’ reflects the tensions, contradictions and polarizations of the world within which we live. Having watched this badly produced ‘clip’, it dawned on me that it does not warrant the terms ‘movie’, ‘trailer’, or ‘video’ as it simply does not amount to anything artistic or creative and should have been left to obscurity. But yes, for any Muslim who happened to see it, it is undoubtedly highly offensive, deliberately inflammatory, and visually disgusting.
